The Journey
The Journey
In May of 2018, I was introduced to the sacred fire ceremony by my Reiki teacher, Andreia. That moment lit a flame within me — a quiet but unmistakable call to something ancient, something eternal. It led me into the teachings of Swami Kaleshwar, under the loving guidance of Alx Uttermann.
For three devoted years, I immersed myself in mantra japa, purification processes, and the transmission of knowledge that Swami had so generously brought forth from the ancient palm leaf manuscripts. I was particularly drawn to the sacred yantras — divine energetic blueprints, many over 5,000 years old, passed carefully through generations.
Swami taught that each of us holds within the capacity for miracles — not as something outside ourselves, but as an innate potential waiting to be awakened. Like Jesus, who said his students would do even greater works than he did, or Guru Nanak, who revealed the truth that no one is higher, no one is lower — Swami reminded us that the divine lives equally in all.
And yet, as timeless as these teachings are, it wasn’t until I began integrating the physical practices of yoga that I could begin to truly digest them. In November of 2020, I joined my first guided sadhana with Kia Miller — a teacher who had inspired me deeply years before. That 40-day practice opened a new channel of steadiness and depth in meditation that felt both familiar and entirely new. I had unknowingly stepped into a lifelong path of integration, remembrance, and service.
Since then, I have continued to walk the path with open-hearted discipline:
- April 2021 – 60-hour Prana & Pranayama
- August 2021 – 60-hour Kriya & The Art of Teaching
- Nov/Dec 2021 – 200-Hour Teacher Training
- January 2022 – 60-hour Cultivating Self-Mastery
- August 2022 – 60-hour Kundalini Module
- October 2022 – Zion - Nurture Your Inner Light Retreat
- January 2023 – 60-hour Mantra & The Yoga of Sound
- February 2023 – India - Kundalini Sadhana Immersion
- October 2023 – Zion - Nurture Your Inner Light Retreat
- February 2024 – India - Sadhana Immersion
Alongside this, I’ve studied Ayurveda and Jyotish astrology through Life Force Academy, deepened my kriya practice with Deidre Norman, and am currently immersed in nervous system education through Yoga Medicine. This May, I participated in a 3-day immersion guided by Jagat Guru, where I was invited into a deeper understanding of kriya and its profound healing capacities. As well, I am currently continuing wisdom studies with the Himalayan Institute.
The path winds and weaves, but the foundation remains steady. The teachings of Swami Kaleshwar have formed the sacred ground upon which all of my work now stands. These are the teachings that inform our community satsangs and guide my healing offerings — including the sacred Fire Homas, Womb Chakra sessions, and energy transmissions.
This path is not a list of accomplishments — it is a living journey, uniquely shaped by each breath, each step, each sincere return to practice. The great teachings all point toward direct experience — not belief, but the steady unfolding of truth through the discipline of abhyāsa. In this way, the practice becomes the teacher, the path becomes the scripture, and the self becomes the sacred ground of study. What I share now arises from this ongoing inner relationship — one that continues to evolve, refine, and reveal, guided always by devotion and the light of the Source within.
